  • Learn more details about the lawsuit entitled In re: Automotive Parts Antitrust Litigation which is pending in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan

The Auto Dealer lawsuit settlement includes anyone who purchased certain auto parts (see the list below) from automotive parts manufacturers (Nippon Seiki, Lear, KL Sales, TRW, Autoliv, Yazaki, Panasonic, HIAMS, T.RAD, and Fujikura).  The list of purchased part eligible for the Auto Dealer Settlement include the following:

  • Air Flow Meters
  • Valve Timing Control Devices
  • Fuel Injection Systems

  • ATF Warmers

The above list is considered all inclusive by the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan and if the auto part is not on the above list it is not part of the Auto Dealer Settlement.   The class members in the Automotive Dealer part lawsuit claim that the manufacturers purposesly fix, raise and maintain the prices of these profits which made the auto dealers pay more for the part which in turn increaded the bottom line profits of the parts manufactuerers aka Nippon Seiki, Lear, KL Sales, TRW, Autoliv, Yazaki, Panasonic, HIAMS, T.RAD, and Fujikura.  The part manufacuteres deny all actions of wrong doing but have agreed to toss money at the problem to make it go to away so they can return to normal business activity.
