Food Network Apple Challenge?

• Kitchen Aid and Food Network have teamed up to bring food lovers a sweepstakes with a grand prize of a cooking lesson with Geoffrey Zakarian

The promotion will run from 8/17 until 9/14 and contestants must be 18 years of age or older (being a food lover is optional but highly encouraged).  On top of the suite of KitchenAid Black Stainless Steel Appliances (the total value of the Food Network Apple Challenge grand prize is listed at over $10,000 while every prize associated with the promotion is listed as  $26,195.99).  The sponsor of the KitchenAid Apple Challeneg Sweepstakes is Television Food Network, G.P while the prize draw will be administered by The TEAM Group, LLC.

Further Sweepstakes Details:

• A winners list will be available anytime after November 12, 2015
• Entires can be made via Instagram or Twitter (a high-end mobile device will be needed when entering via Instagram)
• Contestants will be asked to provide a recipe based on using an apple (i.e. apple pie, apple tart, etc)
• The recipe will be judged based on the following: 35% based on creativity; 30% based on presentation; and 35% based on appetite appeal*
• 4 finalist will be chosen and flown to New York City to participate in a”cook off” before the legendary chef Geoffrey Zakarian (and possibly a studio audience)

*The Finalist with the highest scoring Cook-Off Dish will be the grand prize winner (the “Grand Prize Winner”). In the event of a tie, ties will be broken based on the appetite appeal criteria score. If a tie still remains, the tie will be broken based on the creativity criteria score. Sponsor’s decisions with respect to the Grand Prize Winner shall be final.

It is estimated the the finalist will be notified on or around September 21, 2015 (via email, telephone, and/or overnight mail delivery).  The trip to New York City will be covered by the Food Network but extra tourist activites that the finalist may want to engage in will be covered at their own expense.
