Add Connections Settlement

  • Learn more details about the Perkins v. LinkedIn Corporation class action lawsuit that has a $13 million dollar settlement

Consumers that used the semi popular LinkedIn’s Add Connections feature between Sept. 17, 2011 and Oct. 31, 2014 may be eligible for a slice of that $13 million dollar settlement as long as they file a claim on or before 12/14/15.  The case is entitled Perkins, et al. v. LinkedIn Corp., and is in the jurisdiction of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.  This is not good news for LinkedIn or their shareholders.  Class members claim that the LinkedIn Corp improperly emailed members’ imported contacts without their permission or consent via the Add Connections feature.  The defendants deny any actions of wrong doing but have agreed to settle.

Please note…

  • A Final Fairness Hearing will be held 2/11/16
  • This will be a cash settlement
